Last weekend's RiseFest sets festival attendance record

The annual RiseFest celebration in Sheldon this past weekend was attended by 23,970 people, founder Rob Roozeboom said.

RiseFest had previously announced an attendance goal of "25,000 +1" for the 2024 celebration, which would have surpassed the number of people attending a KKK rally in Sheldon 100 years ago. This year's attendance of 23,970 was a RiseFest record, however, and represented an increase of nearly 5,000 people from the 2023 festival.
