KTD Run/Walk set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 18

The Kiing Turkey Day Run/Walk will take place at 9 a.m. King Turkey Day, Sept. 18, in Worthington.

Individuals may register now for the 5K & 10K races and 5K walk. People may register now for the King Turkey Day Run/Walk by visiting www.raceroster.com and searching for "King Turkey Day." To use the King Turkey Day button coupon, contact the Worthington Area YMCA Front Desk at 376-6197, option 3, to provide you with your unique Promo Code. Please have your Turkey Day button number available when you call. Packet pickup will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 at the YMCA, 1501 Collegeway, or from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 near the starting line. Packets will include bibs, event information and T-shirts. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after Sept. 2. Participants must wear the bibs during the run/walk events. All races will begin at 9 am. .and will be lined up with the walkers in the back of the crowd. There will be a brief ceremony following the 5K and 10K races to award medals to the top three finishers in each age category. Packets that do not get picked up following registration will only be held at the YMCA until Sept. 26.
