It's Windom vs. Luverne and Fairmont vs. Jackson in amateur baseball semis

The top-seeded Windom Pirates will face the fourth-seeded Luverne Cardinals and the No. 2 Fairmont Martins will battle the No. 6 seed Jackson Bulls in the two best-of-three Region 10C amateur baseball semifinal series that get underway beginning Wednesday night.

The winners in each of the two series will automatically qualify for the 2026 Class C State Tournament. The losers of each will play a best-of-three series to see who is the region's third qualifier for state.

The Pirates, who ousted Fox Lake in two games in the quarterfinals, will play host to the Redbirds at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Island Park. Game two will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Luverne, while game three if needed will be at 2 p.m. Sunday back in Windom.

The Pirates have selected Paxton Gravlin of Fox Lake with the first pick in the Region 10C eliminated-team pitcher draft, while Luverne — which knocked out Hadley in two games in the quarterfinals — has chosen Tyler Maeyert from Milroy.

Fairmont, which swept Worthington to make the semis, will be meeting a Jackson team that toppled No. 3-seed Milroy in a quarterfinal sweep. The Martins will entertain the Bulls at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and Jackson hosts Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. Friday. If necessary, game three will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fairmont. All series in this year's Region 10C playoffs thus far have resulted in two-game sweeps.

In the eliminated-team pitcher draft, the Martins selected Lincoln Swanjord of Hadley while the Bulls chose Tucker Sorenson of Hadley.
