A favorite winter contest is returning in Minnesota for its sixth year.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking creative snowplow names for the agency’s annual 'Name a Snowplow' contest. Submissions will be accepted through 12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19.
MnDOT encourages people to submit witty, unique, and Minnesota or winter-themed ideas through its website. Past winners have included Plowy McPlowFace, We’re Off to See the Blizzard and Don’tcha Snow.
Each person may only submit one name. Submissions are limited to no more than 30 characters (including letters and spaces). Any submissions that include profanity or other inappropriate language will not be considered. Snowplows are nonpartisan, so politically inspired names will also not be considered.
