Iowa Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame weekend is Aug. 29-31

The Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association will celebrate the Class of 2025 Hall of Fame on Labor Day weekend.

This year marks the 28th year of the legacy of honoring achievements since the founding of the association. Inductees and award winners come from the following five regions in Iowa: Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast and Central.

This year's celebration kicks off with an Okoboji Rocks Concert in the Roof Garden Ballroom on Friday evening, Aug. 29, featuring a concert by American blues rock band and 2025 Hall of Fame border band inductee Indigenous. The opening act will be D.A.D., a hip-hop duo and 2025 Spirit Award winner. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show is at 7 p.m.

The opening ceremony is on Saturday morning and the Inductee Meet & Greet will be on Saturday evening. Also, at 1 p.m. Saturday, there will be the finals of the statewide Iowa Rocks Talent Contest at the Pearson Lakes Art Center. A free-will offering is asked in lieu of tickets. The winners will open the Hall of Fame Induction Concert on Sunday evening in the Roof Garden Ballroom.

The weekend culminates with the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Induction Ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Sami Bedell Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa. There will be an autograph party at 3 p.m. at the same location.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31 to the Roof Garden Ballroom for the Hall of Fame Induction Concert. Tickets for all events are available online at iowarocknroll.com/events or call the museum at (712) 330-0889.
