I-90 travelers will soon see Worthington lane closures moved

Lane closures on Interstate 90 near Worthington were expected to be removed Friday, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The lane restrictions and temporary ramp closures were needed as crews built crossovers and resurfaced eastbound I-90 from Diagonal Road to Minnesota 60 to accommodate head-to-head traffic during the 2027-28 bridge replacement project. A new Weigh-in-Motion System near Worthington was also installed as part of this year’s work.

Knife River Corporation – North Central was awarded the project with a bid of $4,887,480.97.
