Heat, plus dry and windy conditions, make for high fire danger in region

Nobles County went into a burn barn starting Sunday that will continue until further notice.

High winds and low relative humidity were in effect Sunday and Monday and are expected to remain through Wednesday, creating very high fire danger. A Red Flag Warning was effect for multiple counties in southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa.

Temperatures are expected to cool off Thursday, with highs of between 65 and 70. It will still be windy, but there's a roughly 60% chance of showers or thunderstorms.
