Green flag will wave for Worthington Speedway season Saturday

The Worthington Speedway will open its racing season on Saturday night.
Aaron Fisher Repair will be sponsoring the opening night of the season. The regular weekly classes — Worthington sportsmen, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA modifieds, IMCA Northern SportMods, sports compacts and IMCA stock cars -- will be joined by the Outlaw Mini Mod Touring Series.
The pits for the opening night of racing open at 4 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m., and hot laps start at 6 p.m.
Racing will be sponsored by VT's 3D Prints on Saturday, May 31 and by Buffalo Ridge Concrete on June 7. Palma Customs will host its Dirt Crown Show on June 14, while it will be J Briones Construction Kids Night on June 21. Prelude to the Madness and the Midwest Madness Tour (presented by Ron's Repair) are set for June 28 and 29.
There will be racing on July 5 or 26. In between, it will be Salute to Ag Night on July 12 and racing sponsored by United Prairie Bank on July 19.
August racing will include: the Bandit's Outlaw Spring Series on Aug. 6; Pioneer Fair Night on Aug. 9; Steve Bents Trucking-Hall of Fame-Hobby Stock Dirt Crown racing on Aug. 16; and the Jake's Meat Market Salute to Heroes and Season Championship Night on Aug. 23. The Turkey Town Throwdown will be on Sept. 13.
