Grain bin accident results in death of man near Milroy

A man died Wednesday after becoming trapped in a grain bin, according to a press release from the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at 9:33 a.m. Wednesday to the 13000 Block of Minnesota Trunk Highway 19, as the sheriff's office had been notified of the trapped male. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. At approximately 11:19 a.m., the male party was pronounced dead at the scene; he will be identified at a later date.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Marshall, Milroy, Redwood Falls, Tracy, Vesta and Wabasso fire departments, Centra Care and Wabasso ambulances, Milroy First Responders, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
