Four individuals injured in Sunday Jackson County crash

Four people – three of them minors – were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Jackson County.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by Shellie Erin Williams, 46, of Round Lake was stopped to turn when a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by a 17-year-old Lakefield female traveling north on Minnesota 86 collided with it at the intersection with 720th Street. The crash took place at 4:51 p.m. Sunday in Jackson County's Minneota Township,


Williams and two passengers – a 17-year-old female and 1-year-old male – were taken to Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake with non-life-threatening injuries. The PT Cruiser driver was also taken to Lakes Regional Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.


The Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Lakefield Ambulance and Lakes Regional Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
