The All-Red Rock Conference baseball team has been announced for the recently completed 2026 season.
Among those named to the team are:
Adrian-Ellsworth: Seniors Matt Giester, Garrett Penning, Joe Rahe and Travis Weiss.
Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian: Junior Isaiah Brands and sophomore Karson Kreun.
Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey: Senior Landon Simon and junior Khalid Fontanez.
Murray County Central: Seniors Teague Meyer and juniors Tristan Behrends, Dugan Kluis, Carson Lewis and Krew Schneider.
Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove: Senior Jake Erickson, junior Jackson Jenniges and freshman Braxton Weber.
Russell-Tyler-Ruthton: Seniors Koby Louwagie, Gavin Schreurs and Tyler Wichmann and junior Brayden Chandler.
Honorable mention selections include: Senior Carter Hanson of MCC, seniors Isaac Janish and Levi Tommeraasen and junior Garrett Elton of R-T-R, sophomore Caleb Wolf of Adrian-Ellsworth, juniors Heber Morales and Jason Wright and freshman Thomas Hesse of Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey, seniors Carter Therkilsen and Austin Imker of RRC/WWG, senior Jaron Brands of Edgerton/SWC. and senior Brenton Erdmann and freshman Colten Erdmann of Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda.

In Senior American Legion baseball this weekend, Worthington went 1-2 at a tournament in Madison.
Post 5 lost its first game Saturday to Fergus Falls 11-0, as its opponents hit the ball well and Worthington had one bad inning. In another matchup, it was Willmar 8, Worthington 6, with Post 5 scoring four runs in the final inning to draw closer and leaving the bases loaded when the final out was made. On Sunday, Austin Gruis homered and Logan Kerkaert threw a 68-pitch complete game as Worthington edged Ashby 2-1.
On Thursday night, Worthington banged out 14 hits but was edged by Slayton 5-4. Gruis cracked a solo home run and added an RBI double. Christian Dailey, Kerkaert, Dom Pavelko and Wyatt Petersen all had two hits apiece, and Brayden Raymo drove in a run with an RBI single. Kerkaert allowed two earned runs in four innings pitching against Slayton. Dalton Larson, on the mound for the first time in more than a year, allowed one run in two innings, and Ethan Anderson pitched the final inning.
