Federated Rural Electric was recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health during the 2025 Minnesota Safety and Health Conference on May 5-6.
Federated Rural Electric & Broadband is among 200 employers to be honored through the awards program, coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council. Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards program has honored Minnesota employers with exceptional safety performance. Applicants are judged on several years of injury data as it compares with their industry’s national and state statistics, and on their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program.
Federated Rural Electric & Broadband received a silver Achievement Award, which represents achievement of an incidence rate better than the 50th percentile of both the state and national average, in recognition of its excellence in occupational injury prevention throughout 2024.

Federated General Manager Scott Reimer and Operations Manager George Madden display the Federated safety award.
