Federated Rural Electric, Jackson, recently received recognition in the 2023 “Spotlight on Excellence” national awards program, sponsored by the Council of Rural Electric Communicators (CREC) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
Federated received a Gold Award in the Best External News Publication category for the Connections newsletter for electric cooperatives under 20,000 members. Connections is a shared monthly newsletter for the two cooperatives.
This is the 18th time that a Federated member-owner newsletter has won a Spotlight national award. Gold awards were awarded to those entries scoring 90 points or more.
