Early morning crash on I-90 injures two men

Two men were injured following a crash early Monday morning on Interstate 90.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup operated by Virgil Eugene Woods, 54, of Elkton, Maryland, was eastbound on I-90 when it swerved to avoid a deer, ran off the roadway and rolled. The crash took place at 4:56 a.m. Monday on I-90 at milepost 58 in Jackson County’s Rost Township.

 

Woods was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. A passenger, Raymond G. Woods, 58, of Nottingham, Pa., also had a non-life-threatening injury and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. He was initially transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center to a hospital in Sioux Falls.

 

Assisting at the scene was the Lakefield Ambulance.
