District 518 fall athletics meetings are scheduled for Aug. 10

All students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in fall athletics through Worthington Independent School District 518 are required to attend the Fall Sports Eligibility and Coaches Meeting on Monday, Aug. 10.

This year's meeting will look a little different, as there will not be access to the high school gyms for that night. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with team coaches' meetings, during which all fall athletes will meet with their respective coaches. Each coach will review season expectations, practice schedules, team policies and other important information for the upcoming season.  All student-athletes and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend and complete all required steps to ensure students are eligible to participate in practices and competitions.

Fall sports practices will begin on Aug. 17 with high school football, boys soccer, girls soccer. volleyball, cross country and girls tennis, as well as middle school boys soccer, girls soccer, cross country and girls tennis. Practice for middle school football and volleyball begins Aug. 24.
