Worthington's December weather again featured highs that were warmer than average and precipitation that was less than average, according to data compiled at Worthington's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The average high this past month was 29.6 degrees, which is 1.7 degrees above the December normal of 27.9. The average low was 11.5 degrees, which is .3 degrees below average.
The warmest temperature of the month was recorded at 46 degrees, which came on Dec. 28. The next warmest high was 42 degrees on the 17th. The coldest thermometer reading of the month was minus-10 degrees, which came on Dec. 14; it was minus-9 on the 4th.
Worthington picked up .38 inches of precipitation during the past month, which amounts to exactly half an inch less than what's typical here for December. A total of 6.1 inches of snow was measured during the month.
For all of 2025, Worthington received 27.38 inches of rainfall, which is 3.14 inches less than the average yearly total of 30.52 inches.
The average high for all of 2025 was 57.5 degrees, compared to the average of 54.5. The average low for this past year was 35.7 degrees, compared to 34.3.
