Community blood drive is Sept. 16 in Adrian

Community Blood Bank and Sanford Adrian Clinic will host a community blood drive between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16.

Donors can schedule their donation by logging onto www.cbblifeblood.org, selecting “events”, and Sept. 16 or call (605) 331-3222. Those donating receive a $20 Subway gift card as a thank you gift.

Community Blood Banks is a nonprofit, cooperative of Sanford Medical Center and Avera McKennan Hospital. Community Blood Bank is not associated with any other blood bank organization and is the sole blood provider to 36 local area hospitals, including Sanford Clear Lake Medical Center. A person can donate blood every 56 days. When you donate blood with Community Blood Bank, your blood stays local for our community patients in need.

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a signed parent consent form found at www.cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health the day of the donation. Please bring an I.D. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluid prior to donating.
