Boys Hockey All-Conference Team is announced

The Big South Conference Boys Hockey All-Conference Team has been announced, and multiple Luverne Cardinals players have been selected.
Named to the team from Luverne are Tyler Arends, Elliot Domagala, Patrick Kroski and Owen Sudenga, while both Blaik Bork and Landyn Lais received honorable mention honors. Among others also making the team were Talan Plante and Owen Renslow of Marshall and Sonny Heil of Windom.
One Worthington Trojan boys hockey player was recognized, as Caden VanBriesen was an honorable mention pick for the team.

Rylie Cother of the Jackson County Central Huskies girls basketball team is an honorable mention All-State selection.
The Huskies junior scored 30.7 points per game this season with the best shooting percentages from the field among the regular JCC starters. Cother also led the team by picking up 4.7 steals, nine rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. She also blocked 11 total shots this season.

The NJCAA Division III women's basketball tournament tips off Wednesday; Minnesota West has a bye and open play at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The tourney begins with No. 8 seed Prince George's taking on No. 9 Rhode Island at 1 p.m., with the winner to take on the Lady Jays. Other games Wednesday include No. 5 Northland against No. 12 Nassau, No. 7 Jefferson vs. No. 10 Gloucester and No. 6 Dallas College-Cedar Valley against No. 11 Monroe College-Bronx.
