Bluejay football camp is scheduled for July 26

A Bluejay Football Prospect Summer Camp will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. July 26. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Minnesota West Community & Technical College Center for Health & Wellness at the Worthington campus, in Room 302 across from the gym.

The camp is for those entering ninth through 12th grades this coming fall. Cost of the camp is $67.

Camp participants should bring tennis shoes, cleats, workout clothes and a mouthpiece.

All registrations must read and sign the consent form at mnwestathletics.com/sports/camps. Please make sure that the parental signature is complete.

A pair of Worthington Cubs home games that had been scheduled for this week have been cancelled and won't be made up.

The Cubs had been scheduled to host the Fairmont Martins on Wednesday night, but that matchup was rained out. The team had announced earlier Wednesday that a game scheduled for Thursday evening against the Jackson Bulls had also been cancelled.

Worthington, which is 5-6 on the season, is now set to play its next game at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Heron Lake Lakers. The Cubs will then be idle until July 9, when they entertain the Milroy Irish.
