A Jackson woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday after the vehicle she was driving on Interstate 90 blew a tire and struck the median.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2018 Buick Encore operated by Carol Jean Cookinham, 74, was westbound on I-90 when the tire blew. The incident took place at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday near mile marker 25 in Nobles County’s Westside Township.
Cookinham was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. The Adrian police department, fire department and ambulance assisted at the scene.
