Big South Girls Basketball All-Conference Team chosen

Marshall, which finished with an unbeaten record in Big South Conference Black Division girls basketball play, had a total of five players named to the conference's Girls Basketball All-Conference Team.


Named to the team were four seniors — Reese Drake, Taleigha Bigler, Avery Schneekloth and Avery Fahl. Junior Danielle Nubile was an honorable mention choice.


Others on the Black Division team were sophomore Emma Martin of Belle Plaine, junior Kylie Southworth of St. Peter, senior Ella Schmiesing of Tri-City United and freshman Leah Brustad of New Ulm. Other honorable mention picks were junior Ella Dirks of St. Peter, freshman Ava Miller and sophomore Reese Rodriguez of Waseca, and junior Kallie Thaemert of Belle Plaine. Worthington, which competes in the Black Division, did not have a player named to the team.


For the Big South's Gold Division, Pipestone Area senior Jadyn Kor and Arrows sophomore Amyra Mahik received all-conference honors and sophomore Josie Danks was an honorable mention choice. Also named to the team was Jackson County Central freshman Zadi Farmer, senior Haidyn Sammons of Windom, sophomore Taya Johnson of Luverne, sophomore Bria Williamson and senior Brylee Miller of Fairmont, eighth-grader Kendall Malmgren and senior Journey Swanson of St. James, and senior Lola Lundquist of Blue Earth.


Other honorable mention picks were senior Madelyn Rowe of JCC, senior Anja Nielsen of Windom, senior Jacey Swanson of St. James and senior Alivia Letcher of Windom.
