Another constitutional observer training to be hosted Wednesday

Kivu Immigration Law of Worthington will again present a constitutional observer training for individuals who wish to be ready to respond, protect and act in the event of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence in the community.

The law firm reported that about 250 people attended a training Sunday afternoon. The following day, an ICE presence was reported in Worthington.

KIVU says the Wednesday's free virtual training focuses upon understanding constitutional rights, learning how to lawfully observe and document law enforcement interactions, and knowing how to inform vulnerable individuals about civil rights and due process. The training will led by Kivu Immigration Law Attorney Erin Schutte Wadzinski.

Wednesday's training will be a virtual event over Zoom and begin at 7 p.m. Registration is required and may be done through the Kivu Immigration Law Facebook page.
