Multiple best-of-three amateur baseball playoff series wrapped up over the weekend, with Hadley, Pipestone, Jackson, Lakefield and Adrian among the teams advancing.
The Worthington Cubs were defeated Friday night by the Milroy Irish, 6-1, as Milroy won the series between the two teams, two games to none.
On Saturday, Hadley, Pipestone and Jackson completed two-game sweeps of their respective series. It was Hadley 9, Mountain Lake 7; Pipestone 3, Heron Lake 0; and Jackson 16, Tracy 2.
On Sunday, Lakefield and Adrian each won game threes of their series to advance in the playoffs. Lakefield topped Ruthton, 2-1, to win that series two games to one, while Adrian beat Fox Lake, 10-2, for a two-games-to-one series win.
