Amanda Miller chosen to lead George-Little Rock schools

The George-Little Rock Community School District Board of Education has named Amanda Miller as the district's next superintendent, according to a district press release.

As middle school and high school principal in the Coon Rapids-Bayard CSD, Miller has prioritized mental health programming in addition to leading the district's emergency response and management team in reviewing, updating and practicing district response. She has worked to ensure a strong school-to-work program by partnering with local community colleges throughout her tenure at Coon Rapids-Bayard.

Miller has a master's degree in educational counseling and is anticipating a specialist degree in educational leadership with superintendent licensure from Drake University in May. Prior to her current position, she served as high school counselor and student services coordinator in the East Sac County CSD. Miller began her career as a community prevention consultant and education coordinator at New Opportunities Inc. in Carroll, Iowa.
