The Adrian American Legion baseball team begins its postseason Thursday night after completing an abbreviated regular-season schedule.

Adrian's senior Legion team found up playing just five regular-season games this summer thanks to abundance of uncooperative weather. The team won three of those games, including a 12-0 victory over Worthington as well as triumphs over Edgerton and Heron Lake. Adrian had its last contest of the regular season on Monday, losing at Luverne.

Adrian is a No. 3 seed at the Sub- Sub State Tournament that begins Thursday in Pipestone. Adrian is scheduled to play at 8 p.m. Thursday night against sixth-seeded Pipestone. If victorious, it will meet No. 2 seed Minneota on Friday. If Adrian loses, it will have a Friday night matchup against an opponent to be determined.

Luverne is the No. 1 seed in the double-elimination Sub- Sub State Tournament. Also in the six-team tourney are fourth-seeded Edgerton and fifth-seeded Windom.

Three of those six tournaments will advance to the Sub State Tournament, which begins next week in Luverne.
