All animals were the theme of this morning’s 4-H day camp in Worthington.
Discussed were how to keep animals safe from germs and diseases as well how to use their products and products that certain animals make. Thirty young learners created butter with just a jar and whipping cream to learn about how dairy products can come together making other products they know. Along with their crafting skills, youths used yarn, black paper and glue to transform yarn into pom pom sheep.
Youths also completed a sheet about how wool is sheared from a sheep and later becomes a clothing item or blanket.
The University of Minnesota Extension offered thanks to C&B Operations for its financial support of day camp as well Bedford for providing a volunteer for the day camp.
