The 1-year-old son of a Lakefield couple involved in an accident in which he fell over the weekend from a hotel in Sioux Falls has died from his injuries.
Madden Hein, the son of Kathryn and Alex Hein, died late Monday. His parents have announced that he is going into organ donation, calling their son “a real life superhero,” and that there will be an honor walk with him to his organ donation surgery. The honor walk will be open to anyone who wishes to help honor Madden, and more details will be made available as they’re determined.
A GoFundMe page, “Support for the Hein Family,” has been established to support the family. As of Tuesday morning, 598 donations had been made, netting $51,804 of a goal of $100,000.
