A Sioux Falls man originally from Fulda died Tuesday in a motor vehicle crash near Hull, Iowa.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place on 290th Street, two miles north of Hull. A 2006 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Noah Salentiny, 22, of Sioux Falls was traveling east on 290th Street, and a 2014 Ford Explorer operated by Julian Meyer, 31, of Boyden, Iowa was heading west on 290th Street.
The sheriff’s office reported that Salentiny began turning left toward a residential driveway and the two vehicles collided in the westbound lane. The Equinox entered the north ditch after the crash and rolled.
Salentiny was transported to Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley, Iowa, where he died as a result of injuries. Meyer was taken to Sioux Center Health with minor injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the Hull Fire Department, the Hull Ambulance Squad and the sheriff’s office technical accident investigator.
