The primary role of General Labor is to safely follow all production and quality standards while assembling 700-pound cheese blocks. The job will monitor different positions throughout the cheese packaging floor. The position includes, but is not limited to, making block forms, filling blocks with cheese, pushing blocks, closing and sealing blocks, and, once trained, storing blocks in the cooler.

Finance Director

Southwestern MN Opportunity Council (SMOC), a non-profit organization, is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Finance Director, on-site at SMOC’s main office in Worthington, MN.

The Finance Director is responsible for the daily oversight, maintenance, and administration of SMOC’s financial systems which includes general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, inventory systems, and general accounting for multiple programs. Additional duties include managing the daily financial operations of the agency, assisting with budget and expense issues, preparing and submitting accurate financial reports, and maintaining and evaluating fiscal policies and procedures.

A four-year degree in accounting is required. An additional four years of experience working in a non-profit managing state and/or federal funding is preferred.

Starting salary range is $82,500 - $86,400 DOQ/DOE. Benefit package includes PTO, paid holidays, and available health, life, dental and vision insurance.
