WINDOM – The Windom School District will be moving students in 6th through 8th grade to distance learning, beginning Tuesday.
Distance learning for students in 6th through 12th grade will continue through Dec. 4, due to staffing concerns. Kindergarten through 5th grade will continue with in person class with social distancing and at 50 percent capacity.
According to a news release from the district, staffing concerns at the middle school are due to the quarantining of staff members or their family members. The Windom School District is evaluating learning models daily, using information from county health officials.
Meal service will be available to students who are on distance learning. Students need to inform their 1st period teacher and request a meal. Pick up of meals will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the south door of the middle-high school drop off area. Students will receive a lunch and the next day’s breakfast.
