Two hurt in pair of Jackson County crashes

A Windom woman was injured Saturday morning as a result of a one-vehicle crash that took place on U.S. 71.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, A 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by Hailey Jean Ambrose, 19, of Windom, was southbound on U.S. 71 in snow/icy conditions when it lost control, entered the ditch and rolled. The incident took place at 6:22 a.m. Saturday near milepost 19 in Jackson County's Christiania Township.


Ambrose was transported to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Jackson Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Meanwhile, a Round Lake man was injured early Monday morning as a result of another rollover crash in Jackson County.


The State Patrol reported that a 1997 Chevrolet pickup operated by Cody Allen Uithoven, 27, of Round Lake was eastbound on Minnesota 60 when it lost control and rolled. That incident also took place at 6:22 a.m. and occurred near milepost 37 in Delafield Township.

Uithoven was transported to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Windom Fire Department and Windom Ambulance.
