Three hurt in Thursday crash near Windom

Multiple people were hospitalized Thursday as a result of a two-vehicle crash near Windom.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2006 Winnebago RV operated by Betty Connell, 80, of Casa Grande, Arizona was westbound on Minnesota 60 and a 2015 Jeep Cherokee operated by Maria Ramirez, 40, of Mountain Lake was northbound on Cottonwood County 2. The vehicles reportedly collided when Ramirez was attempting to turn onto the highway.

Connell and Ramirez, as well as a passenger in the Winnebago – Joseph Markovic, 80, of Casa Grande – were taken to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
