Threat at Windom schools deemed not credible

WINDOM – Windom Area Schools ISD 177 was contacted by local authorities Monday morning regarding a possible threat. According to the district’s Facebook page, a past graduate posted a Snapchat that stated, “Don’t come to skool,” which was flagged by the FBI.

The post did not mention a specific school, but out of caution, the district placed their buildings on a soft lockdown and limited access to the main offices.

By shortly after 10 a.m., the district posted a message that stated the Windom Police Department had determined there was no threat to the school.
