Sunday's COVID-19 update from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) includes 271 new cases and four new deaths. The state's death toll is 7,465 since the start of the pandemic. Of the total deaths, 59.5% (4,442) were residents of long-term care. Through June 4, the state reported that 2,958,628 people have received at least 1 dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 2,650,061 people have completed their vaccine series. Forty-eight (48) percent of Minnesota's total population has completed the vaccine series.
Through June 3, the number of people with COVID-19 hospitalized in Minnesota was 252. Of those hospitalized, 66 people were in intensive care and 186 were receiving non-ICU treatment.
