Rock County Sheriff's Office investigates vandalism

LUVERNE – The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding vandalism on Luverne City Park property.

According to Sheriff Evan Verbrugge, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire in a building east of the Luverne City Park at about 2 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters arrived to find the privately-owned barn fully engulfed and beyond saving.

After further investigation, it was determined there was also vandalism to the light displays in the city park. Verbrugge said eight of the displays had been destroyed.

This case is still under investigation and authorities are looking for any information about either incident. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is posting a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.
