Rainfall totals continue to add up, with more on the way

Friday brings the strong chance for even more rain in Worthington and the surrounding region, with a potential for severe thunderstorms, and the rainfall totals will add to what has already been a very wet month.

Through early this past Tuesday morning, a total of 4.65 inches of rain had been measured at Worthington's Wastewater Treatment Plant. That brings this year's total precipitation to 24.5 inches; the average total for the first six months of a year is 15.39 inches.

With more rainfall totals on the way, the gap between the year's total rainfall and the average amount will certainly widen.
