Prepare for New Year's Day closings

WORTHINGTON - In observance of New Year’s Day, all city, county and state government offices will be closed Friday, including the law enforcement center at Prairie Justice Center. The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce will also be closed Friday. The Nobles County Library will be closed Friday and Saturday over the holiday weekend.

Financial institutions will be closed Friday. The post office will also be closed Friday, with no delivery.

Fareway Foods will be closed Friday. Hy-Vee of Worthington will maintain regular hours over the holiday weekend. Schaap Sanitation will not be picking up trash or recycling on Friday. Those on a Friday route will have pickup on Thursday, Dec. 31.
