Nobles County active COVID case numbers on the decline

There are 74 Nobles County individuals with current COVID-19 infections who are within their 10-day isolation period, according to the latest data released Wednesday by the Nobles County COVID-19 Joint Information Team. This represents a 15-person decrease in current infections since the previous report.

Nobles County infection counts as reported Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health were 4,740 total confirmations, up 49 from the previous report on Thursday. There are 4,614 cases that are past the 10-day isolation, and there have now been 52 COVID-related deaths in the county following the announcement of a new death on Monday.

The 74 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, six (down seven); 11-15, three (down four); 16-19, six (up one); 20-25, seven (up three); 26-50, 29 (down nine); 51-64, 12 (up two); and ages 65 and older, 11 (down one).

Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are: Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens.

A third vaccine shot is now recommended to be administered for those who are immunocompromised. This is a third vaccination, in addition to the previous two, based on conditions of an immunocompromised individual. This is a separate vaccination from a recommended booster shot.
