New state of emergency declared in Nobles County

A state of emergency was declared by Nobles County commissioners during a special Wednesday meeting following Monday’s severe weather.

Commissioners previously declared a state of emergency for the county on May 16 after storms on May 11. Since this was a new storm, a separate declaration had to be made in order to be eligible for emergency disaster funding at the state or federal levels.
