MINNESOTA – The Minnesota Twins on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the 2021 Winter Caravan and Twinsfest.
Both events were scheduled for January, but the decision to cancel was to protect the health and wellbeing of the club’s fans, partners, players, staff and employees, along with the communities.
The Twins will instead bring fans a series of specially-designed virtual experiences throughout the offseason; details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Club President & CEO Dave St. Peter said an offseason without their longstanding and beloved fan events is certainly tough to digest, but the top priority is, and always will be, the health and safety of Twins Territory.
The Twins Winter Caravan had been held annually for each of the last 60 years, while TwinsFest – the largest annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund – began in 1989.
