MDH reports four more COVID deaths in southwest Minnesota

MINNESOTA – COVID-19 numbers on Friday from the Minnesota Department of Health included 61 deaths across the state, including one from Murray County, two from Nobles County and one from Rock County. Since the pandemic began, 3,845 Minnesotans have died with symptoms and issues related to the coronavirus.

Another 5,371 confirmed and probable cases of the virus were reported Friday, bringing the state’s total cases in 2020 to almost 339,000.

Locally, new cases include 22 in Cottonwood County, 14 each in Jackson and Murray County, 11 in Nobles County, 12 in Pipestone County and 24 in Rock County.

More than 2.6 million people have been tested, and of the positive cases, over 293,000 of them no longer require isolation.
