Sorenson, who played for the Adrian A’s during the regular season, was drafted by Milroy for the series with the Pirates.
The Irish will try to complete a sweep of the series on Friday night when they take take on Windom at home.
If a third game is needed for either series, it would be played on Sunday with the higher-seeded team hosting. The winner of each series will qualify for the State Class C Amateur Baseball tournament, while the loser of each will play in a series of their own for an additional berth at state.
