WORTHINGTON – Time is winding down for you to be able to cast a vote for the All-Inclusive playground in Worthington!
Kiwanis International is sponsoring a Legacy of Play contest that could earn the winner $25,000. The Early Risers Kiwanis of Worthington have entered the all-inclusive playground into the contest, and they need you to go to the site, click and vote!
The contest began September 14 and continues through noon September 27. People can vote every 24 hours, and the 10 projects with the most votes by noon September 27 will move into a final round of judging. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced on or around October 7.
As of Tuesday morning, the Early Risers project was in fourth place, so keep those votes coming!
The all-inclusive playground will be located at Chautauqua Park and is set on a rubber surface that is accessible for wheelchair bound individuals. It includes an educational activities panel, musical chimes, and equipment to accommodate everyone.
Early Risers Kiwanis members are confident that funds will be raised so that construction of the playground will start April 1, in conjunction with handicapped-accessible restroom.
