JCC makes move to all distance learning

JACKSON - Jackson County Central grades PreK-12 will move to full distance learning as of Nov. 30. They have no school next week.

Superintendent Barry Schmidt said Thursday the county case number went up to 81.62 per 10,000 people. After consulting with the school nurse and public health, the full distance learning will go through Dec. 11.

Today will be the last day on in-person school. Any “A” day students who need to pick up materials can come in Monday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Meal pick up will be Tuesday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Door 7 of the high school and the Pleasantview north parking lot. There will be no pickup on Friday, Nov 27.

Anyone in need of daycare for school-aged children should contact Darci.Thurmer@jccschools.net at Kids Club to see if they qualify.
