Election coming up fast; A/T encourages voters to get ballots in ASAP

WORTHINGTON - Election Day is less than two weeks away, and Nobles County Auditor/Treasurer Joyce Jacobs is reminding voters who received ballots in the mail to return them as soon as possible.

According to Jacobs, voters can mail their ballots back to the A/T Office, put them in the secure drop box located at door #1 at the Government Center or bring it into the office during business hours.

For voters who live in mail ballot precincts, the Government Center is your polling place – so if you would like to vote in person, bring the ballot you received in the mail to the A/T Office – voting booths are set up and ready to use.

Absentee ballots can still be requested via the mail, but due to mailing time, voters are encouraged to take advantage of in-person early voting available during business hours from 8 AM – 4:30 PM Monday-Friday for voting prior to Election Day.

New voters need to bring along a photo ID with current address or a photo ID and proof of residence such as an electric bill or cable bill with your name and current address. Anyone with questions can call 507-295-5258 or visit mnvotes.org.
