MINNESOTA – Two more Nobles County residents have died of COVID-19, according to Friday’s Minnesota Department of Health report. Both of them were in the 80-89 age group. This brings the total of coronavirus-related deaths in the county to nine.
Across the state, there were eight newly reported deaths and 738 new cases of the virus. Locally, Cottonwood and Jackson County each had two, Nobles County four, Pipestone and Rock County each had three.
As of Friday’s report, there were 313 Minnesotans hospitalized with COVID-19, with 152 of them in ICU.
Total positive cases in the state is nearing 64,000, with just over 56,600 no longer requiring isolation.
