City of Worthington looking for public feedback on Aquatic Center

WORTHINGTON - The City of Worthington is developing plans for a new Aquatic Center and is looking for public feedback to help guide the design of the project to best fit the needs and preferences of the community.

The new Worthington Aquatic Center will be located west of the current YMCA and Minnesota West Community & Technical College. It will be independent from the YMCA and will not require a membership to access.

The aquatic center options can be explored at, and there is also a brief survey that members of the public can take to help explain their wishes. The survey asks people to rate certain amenities of a center in order of importance, bringing up subjects such as a lazy river, tube slides, spray features, lockers and rentable shade.

Survey results will be gathered until September 30.
