Several southwest Minnesota high school football players have received 9-South West Football District Awards for the 2022 season.
Among those named to the All-District Team are: Brayden Metzger, Cody Moser, Riley Tatge, Beau Bakken and Sawyer Bosch of Hills-Beaver Creek; Kole Haberman, Jake Evers, Cody Rahn and Evan Karschnik of Mountain Lake Area; Vander Mathiowetz, Keaton Skarupa, Carter Therkilsen and Isaac Simonson of Red Rock Central and Jared Fischer, Chase Boostma and Carter Amundson of Edgerton.
Included as Honorable Mention selections were: Alex Harris and Luke Fuerstenberg of Hills-Beaver Creek; Peyton Banks and Ethan Rahn of Mountain Lake Area; Jacob Amsden, Jayden Lang and Blake Paplow of Red Rock Central; Michael Gunnink and Blake Schultz of Edgerton; Dan Kleven and Elijah Merrick of Westbrook-Walnut Grove and Gavin Leighty and Rylan Klein of Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda.
