Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival announces music line-up
WORTHINGTON - After recently announcing Parmalee as the Saturday headliner, the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Music Festival board is releasing the full music schedule of the June 6-9 event that takes place at Sailboard Beach on Lake Okabena in Worthington.
On Friday, June 7, the music starts at 6 p.m. with County Line Drive, a five-piece country band that has played festivals such as Harvest Jam, Country Fest and Country Boom. They are followed at 8:30 p.m. Friday by Good For Gary, a Twin Cities cover band that specializes in current and past dance hits, with a focus on the newest Top 40 songs. With a seven-piece lineup, there’s no hip-hop, pop, or dance song the band can’t cover.
On Saturday, June 8, first up on the Sailboard Beach stage at 4 p.m. is Mojo Monks - a band that takes the music of artists as diverse as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Adele, Pink, Bon Jovi to Gretchen Wilson and Big and Rich and creates nothing but fun. They are followed at 7 p.m. by Capitol Sons, a band which has performed around the Twin Cities rock scene for more than a decade and includes drummer Michael Jueneman, who was born and raised in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School in 1991.
The chart-topping quartet Parmalee takes the stage at 9 p.m.
Prepare to bring a lawn chair and enjoy two days of amazing music and fun, which includes a fenceless beer garden, a multitude of activities and several days of beautiful windsurfing on the shores of Lake Okebena.
