Worthington District 518 referendum today
WORTHINGTON - Today, Worthington District 518 residents will decide on a construction bond referendum - the latest in a string of attempts by the district to get permission from voters to purchase general obligation bonds to fund construction of a new school.
This particular bond asks for voter approval of $32 million for construction of a new grades 3-5 intermediate school. The district has said it will commit $5.8 million to the project.
For those who haven't already voted via absentee ballot or through the auditor/treasurer's office, there is one combined polling location at the Lakeside Church, 1000 Linda Lane, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
If the referendum is approved, the anticipated completion date of the new facility would be Spring 2022.
